PARYAWARAN BHAWAN
- Built Up Area - 80,000 SQ. FT. | Type of Project - Institutional
Paryawaran Bhawan is envisioned as a landmark green building and the headquarters of the Ministry of Forest and Environment, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Designed as a symbol of progress and responsibility, it fuses contemporary architectural language with traditional materials and techniques to embody both the aspirations and cultural heritage of the state.
The building’s clean lines and minimalist form exude modern elegance, while its façade blends state-of-the-art DGU curtain glazing with locally sourced terracotta tiles. The glazing ensures abundant natural light, reducing dependence on artificial lighting and enhancing energy efficiency, while terracotta pays homage to regional craftsmanship, adding warmth and texture to the structure.
Sustainability lies at the core of the design, with material choices, passive strategies, and environmental responsiveness ensuring reduced ecological impact. The project stands as a catalyst for change – an inspirational model of how modern architecture can embrace innovation while honoring nature and culture.
