Hotel Holiday Inn

The hotel has been a locked property from past 5 years. The hotel is located on Candolim road, North Goa. The building had to be renovated with interventions transforming its original layout and configurations. The challenge for design was to achieve a balance among the quantity of the required rooms, the comfort of a modern luxury hotel, and the large courtyard in between. The design result is that the layout of all 94 rooms is all different, making each one of them a unique experience, some having bathtubs, some under traditional roofs facing waterscape, some can be open towards the central courtyard. Regarding the design of the public areas, as the rooms are located in the periphery of the courtyard, a centralwater scape is created that makes all the balcony outdoor sitting areas of each room, look over it – a transition between interior and exterior, in the meantime more privacy is provided for the rooms. Vibrant mood colors are used on the exterior, reminding people of the happy nature of Goa.
