Nathani Residence

This double family residence is located within the sprawling heritage town of Agra, on a site that faces a large, well maintained public park. The residence was conceived as a place that brings the outside in; a place to enjoy the views of the park, the sun and the breeze from the privacy and security of one’s home.
The north-south orientation of the house facilitates large apertures both on the north and south façade that floods the house with natural light throughout the day. A double volume connects the living areas on the ground floor to the more private upper floor while it greets visitors with a sense of openness and generosity. The terrace is an opportunity for the occupants to connect back to the sky.
